While Radishes are most often sliced and diced into a salad, they also make a tasty cooked side dish. You can simply roast them in a 450 degree oven with salt, pepper and olive oil. Here’s another way to try them out:
Radishes – cleaned and cut in half, leaving small ones whole.
Salt and Sugar to taste
1. Place radishes in a small frying pan, filling pan with water until it reach about 1/3 to 1/2 way covering the radishes.
2. Add at least 1 Tablespoon of butter, sugar (suggest 1/2 tsp) and salt (suggest 1/2 tsp)
3. Bring to a boil, stir occaisionally, and reduce until the liquid forms the glaze.
Alternate Suggestion: Add a spoon of vinegar to the cooking water, and finish with pepper to taste.
